Sándor Czobor
The sculptor, born in 1954, has been involved in the visual arts since 1980, initially working with graphics and painting, and later with sculpture.
In the early 1980s, he became a member of the Szolnok County Young Artists Club. In 1981, he was one of the founders of the Jászberény Artists' Group. He participated in several exhibitions with the group: Jászberény 1981 Eger 1986 Szolnok 1986
Between 1984 and 1985, during the construction of a playground in Jászberény by the artist group, he encountered wood as a sculptural material.
Initially, he created bas-reliefs and sculptures from wood. Later, public sculpture commissions provided a great opportunity to deepen his understanding of stone as a sculptural material. Today, he mostly creates his small sculptures from bronze, the most versatile material.
Since 1990, he has been participating in the Art Camp International Art Symposium, exhibiting his work there. In 1991, he became a member of the Róna Group. In 1992, he founded the Kisújszállás Fine Arts Association, and in 1994, the TenArt Fine Arts Association, of which he became the leader. He is a member of the MAMÜ Society and the Hungarian Artists' National Association.
