Szax Olivér was born in 1975 in Esztergom. After acquiring the profession of window dresser and decorator, he began to delve more deeply into painting under the guidance of painter Ernő Tolvaly. His works were initially characterized by metaphysical surrealism, and later, by the creation of complex spatial geometric scenes based on this painterly language. Today, his work is defined by an ongoing experimental approach to painting, which incorporates both references and reinterpretations of key milestones in art history, as well as progressive perspectives and tools for future-oriented modes of representation.
